Water Colour Basics and Techniques Art Workshop 6, 13 20 June

Watercolour can be extremely subtle to ultra vibrant, it is different from all other paint. It is super translucent and reacts with immediacy to the paper. Therein lies the problem as well. Fear is immediately visible by stroke or wash and overworking it leads to jagged muddy textures. You need confidence and restraint to create a successful watercolour painting. You also need to know your materials and their limitations. As with most media, there are loose spontaneous as well as controlled techniques. This fin e art workshop will help you learn and discover all the subtle nuances and abilities of water colour painting.

This art workshop will introduce you to the correct materials to use for the desired effect that you would like to achieve. Then different techniques are discussed and tried. The aim of this watercolour workshop is to reveal to

you what you need to do and what to avoid, to create great watercolours.
